4 The Irish?
You may have heard that the Irish team worked really hard trying to put on an EJC in Ireland this year, but were thwarted by the inability to get any insurance company to cover the event.
Therefore there are some “Irish at the EJC” traditions that you may want to join in with this year to honour the teams efforts.
Volunteer, especially for the dirty jobs!
Volunteering, especially for jobs that may not be so pleasant, is a great way to make wonderful friends from all over the world.
Have a chat with a stranger!
At an EJC, one of the great joys is talking to people from all over the world. Have a chat with people you don’t know – even if it is just a quick “hello” over coffee. If you want more of a chat, find the Irish bench to hang out at.
Be kind at Renegade!
Treat Renegade as a venue for people who want to show a trick or an act that is not ready / suitable for open stage. Create a supportive atmosphere – leave “clashes” to the French Renegade (if they host one) and come up with your own tricks rather than copying what others have done on stage. If you think you can do better, join the queue rather than interrupting them!
Irish Renegade is on Thursday (starting shortly after midnight)s
