5  Assistance Needed

1. I’m lost: can you find my parents? / I have lost a child and need to organise a search party immediately.

2. I need to contact my embassy, can you find their phone number / emergency contact information for consular support?

3. I need to report something (expensive) stolen so that I can make an insurance claim when I get home. What forms will I need to complete and where is the appropriate police station to submit them to? Will this be open?

4. How much of the site is wheelchair accessible?

• Will I be able to watch shows in my wheelchair?
• Will I be able to sit beside my friends while watching those shows?
• Can I get early access into the big top to enable easier access?

5. Are there sign language interpreters available?

• If so, what sign languages do they use?

6. Do you have anyone available to help / translate [insert relatively unusual language]

7. Are there GPs (doctors) nearby that can speak English / German / French (as appropriate) as I need to get a prescription (so this is not a first aid question)?

8. My tent was robbed – I have no money or shoes. Help.

9. My luggage has been delayed by the airline, I have no place to sleep, can you help?

10. I didn’t bother to bring a tent, where can I sleep.
